Zahiyah Alraddadi is an architect and visual artist based In Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia. She graduated from Effat University in 2019 with a BS in
Architecture. Since graduation, she worked as an architect on multiple
projects spanning from conceptual to realized projects, of cultural or
commercial use. When it comes to art, it was a self-taught journey that
coincided with studying architecture in 2013.
She was commissioned in 2021 by SAC for 21,39 Annual Jeddah Arts
exhibition, and participated in Apostrophe Exhibition by Madina Art Center
in 2019. In 2022, she was a resident artist at Cité Internationale des
Arts in Paris through Al-Mansouria Foundation.
The range of her work extended into graphic design illustrations as she
designed the cover and illustrations of The Flood, a poem book, along with
the logo of an upcoming podcast.
Her body of work is often a spontaneous process of depicting thoughts and
emotions, beyond the surface level. Drawing inspirations from dreams and
the nature of duality, the Intertwining relationship of consciousness and
subconsciousness, reality and delusion, severity and stillness.
